The Burracombe books are set in a fictional Devon village in the 1950s. Do you have any memories of these years, or are they 'history' to you? Do you like the characters and enjoy reading about them? Do you enjoy coming across characters from the April Grove stories in these books? Just love all your books, and they are all lined up in order on my book shelfs, except for one book in the Burracombe series called a burracombe Easter. Went to my local Waterstones to order it and was told it was done as a Ebook only, very disappointed, as I am a massive fan of books, and have a brother and sister inlaw who's house is floor to celling with books (except kitchen and bathroom), and I don't have a Kindle, so the only way I can read the book was to down load it to my smart phone. I usually sail through your books with in a week, but im not enjoying reading it on my phone so I guess it,s going to take me a lot longer then my usual week of reading a book of yours. Also I want to save bookshops from closing due to people using Kindles etc, instead of going in to a book store and been served by areal person.

I have just finished reading "Surprises in Burracombe". Please could you tell me if there will be more books in this series. I do hope so.

Burracombe at Easter is, I think, an ebook as I downloaded to my Kindle I love all Lilian Harry's books and have just been on Amazon and to my dismay it looks as though the next Burracombe book will be the last. I really hope not

being nearly sixty eight years of age and born in Bishops Lydeard, Somerset, my maternal grandmother born in Morchard Bishop, Devon, I have been enthralled whilst reading the entire series of Burracombe (I've almost finished surprises). They remind me so much of my childhood, spent in Bishops Lydeard, and Combe Florey where my Nan and Grandad lived, and where I went to school (Just twenty seven children in the school at that time). Now please, please put me out of my misery: Where is George Sweet's Bakery, and where is the chapel. Neither of these dwellings are on any of the maps shown at the beginning of each book. Last of all when is the next book of the series due to be published.
Best wishes, Brian
